Children of Mana is now available across retail for your purchasing pleasure. I just picked the game up today and played a little bit of it and I must say right off the bat it’s a gorgeous game. The opening cinematic is simply awesome and the hand drawn background and animations are top notch. The gameplay seems a bit shallow for now. It’s pretty much pressing A over and over but I am hoping it gets deeper as I learn new spells and such. I haven’t had the chance to try multiplayer but it seems like it really gives this game legs with it’s jump in jump out feature. To bad it didn’t include WiFi multiplayer over Nintendo WFC. If your an action RPG fan Id say try this game, I think you will like it. Here is a couple images of the game in action.

PS3 in HD = $$$?

So you just purchased your shiny new PS3 and can’t wait to hook it up to your full HD 1080p TV. Well wait a minute Sony only gave you composite cables? Well that’s not a problem I guess I can just run out to the store and buy the PS3 HDMI cable and that’s that right? Well turns out you might have to shell out more money than you thought. Monster Cables has just released the price of their PS3 cables and they pretty pricey.

  1. Component cable – $60
  2. Component + Digital Audio – $70
  3. HDMI – $100
  4. Digital Audio only – $30

Sound expensive? Well because it is. Keep in mind that Sony will most likely have a more affordable offering when it comes to HD and digital audio cables. Monster Cables tend to be more expensive. Still it seems that if you want the most out of the PS3 your going to have to spend upwards of $800 after taxes just to play 1 PS3 game in full 1080p. But hey your already spending $600 what’s $200 more right?
