Those of you who were wondering when in the world (of Warcraft
, I know that was lame) Blizzard was finally going to release the expansion to their ultra popular MMORPG. Well today Blizzard nailed down a new date of January 16, 2007 for North America and Europe. World of Warcraft which currently has over 7 million subscribers worldwide is adding a whole host of new features and enhancements in Burning Crusade. Including the following:
The Burning Crusade will retail for $39.99 and requires World of Warcraft to play which is now $19.99.
PS3 commercials are numerous now and getting odder. Although they are leaps and bounds better than the PSP ads which I still for the life of myself can;t figure out who gave those horrible ads the green light. Anyways heres a new PS3 commercial geared towards the SIXAXIS controller.
Here is a video of the Nintendo Wii on the production line. Makes waiting for Nov. 19 even harder eh? Just think there are already like thousands of Wii systems in your state sitting in a cardboard box waiting to be ripped open by you. Almost there guys and gals. Just don’t try to freeze yourself to ease the waiting.

The HD-DVD add-on for the Xbox 360 is now available in stores for an MSRP of $199.99. The unit comes with the player a universal media remote and King Kong on HD-DVD. In case you didn’t already know this player is only good for movies and not games. No Xbox 360 game will be on HD-DVD discs. I should also note that while the format wars rage on between Blu-Ray and HD-DVD this is the cheapest anywhere you will be able to buy an HD-DVD player granted that you already own a 360. So there you have it. Want HD movies on your 360? Go buy this thing. If your cautious then wait to see who actually wins the format war.
Japan has finally started their pre-orders for the Wii. Now if you recall the pre-orders for the Wii here in North America it was notable but not staggering how many people lined up to pre-order the Wii. But I suppose Japan is really feeding off of the success of the Nintendo DS. Lines were long, way longer than here in the states. It’s normal for the Japanese to line up for a system when it is released or a game, but a pre-order has to be something huge. Lines were as long as 50 people or longer in some cases. The hype machine is building, the Wii is coming. Here are a few pictures of the lines.
