It’s no secret the iPhone is a hot new device. Among smart phones, mp3 players and just generally portable media the iPhone stands in a league of it’s own. But there are some concerns here, at least concerns of my own.
1. Price!!! $600 + 2 year at&t contract ($59.99 being the cheapest for iPhone) = $2,040. It not all come out of my pocket at once but that’s still a ton of cash to drop on any device.
2. Not everyone has at&t. If your like me I have T-Mobile, so for myself to get the iPhone I would need to pay an early cancellation fee of $175. It’s in most peoples interest to just wait for the phone to become available on their network.
3. This one doesn’t have to do with cost. Why oh why does this phone have the EDGE network? They claim in the commercials that this thing doesn’t do “mobile internet” it does just “the internet”. Well that may be true but it’s not doing the internet very fast on the EDGE network that’s for sure. Maybe a second gen iPhone will include 3G. At least my hope is that it will. Data plans aren’t cheap by any means but with iPhone you have no choice but to get a data plan so why not make it 3G?
Personally I am going to wait for the price to come down and hopefully it will come to other networks. If your an Apple freak you probably already have the iPhone for everyone else, you could get by just fine with say the Blackberry 8100 phones for now.

Soul Calibur Legends which is sort of a spin off from the usual fighting game is exclusive to the Nintendo Wii and looks to make a name for itself. The games visuals are among the best I have seen on the Wii. Even more impressive is the fact that the game game runs in 16×9 480p and at 60 frames per second. Take a look at the images below.
EA has gone on the record to state that many of it’s upcoming sports lineup for Wii will feature online gameplay. Madden 2008, Fifa and NBA Live are all confirmed to have WiFi play. One key omission was Tiger Woods 2008 which will not feature WiFi. It’s nice to finally see some third party games take the leap to WiFi on Wii.
Set to debut June 28 is a new trailer for GTA IV. As promised by Rockstar this trailer will show us actual gameplay footage and will surely impress. For those of you who missed the first trailer here it is. GH will post the new trailer as soon as it hits the web.
GTAIV is set to release on October 16 2007 for Xbox 360 and PS3.

If you, like me, are among the many who still own the Original Style DS (DS Fat), you will probably be disappointed to find that retail stores only sell the browser compatible with the DS Lite. (Well, you probably could use the DS lite version on the original DS if you modify the memory expansion cartridge, but that will void your waranty.) Here is where you can find it at Nintendo’s Online Store.
